LOWER SCHOOL

Birthday Books: The next Birthday Books Program on the Bon Air Campus is scheduled for Thursday, March 26 at 8:30 a.m. in Dundas Hatcher.  The deadline for submitting books has been extended until March 18th due to snow days.  Please contact Mrs. Wise if you have any questions.

Go FISH!  Due to high demand, we’re going to offer the after-school  fishing club on Fridays, as well as Mondays. Tee Clarkson, of Virginia Fishing Adventures, will follow up with families to distill out which children will go on Mondays and which on Fridays. If you wish to sign up your child, click here to register. (If you signed up last week, no need to do anything. You will be contacted.)

The program starts on Monday, March 23rd and will run for five Mondays or Fridays (depending on sign-up day) through May 1. (No class on Monday April 6th. Rain make-up day May 4th.)  Spring is the best time to be out on the water as the fish wake up from winter and the shad run up the river. Participants will learn the basics of casting and fishing techniques while fishing at the Singleton Campus lake, as well as local ponds around town and the James River.

Participants will be picked up by Virginia Fishing Adventures at the Lower School at 3 p.m. and dropped back off at 5 p.m. Open to Boys and Girls in 1st through 5th grades. All equipment provided. No experience necessary. Cost: $100 per child. (Limited to 12 students per class, prioritized from oldest to youngest and siblings.)
