You're Invited To Share Your Story

Dear St. Michael’s Families and Alumni,

St. Michael’s is committed to our mission of nurturing the spirit, igniting the mind, and celebrating childhood in a community of love, affirmation, and belonging that fosters educational excellence.

In pursuing this mission, St. Michael’s desires a better understanding of what our mission means to our St M families and how St M lives it within our classrooms and community.  We want to hear about your experiences, your feelings, your stories… your VOICE.

We’ve partnered with Share More Stories, a Richmond-based human experience insights company, to conduct a study using their SEEQ Platform (Stories to Engage, Explore, and Question), a unique storytelling-based research platform.  Storytelling is a wonderful and helpful tool for reflection and growth.
St M is hosting a SEEQ “Stories of St M” session for our families and alumni aged 25+ on SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 21, 10 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. in the Perkinson Arts Center.
  • We invite the first 50 families who register (which includes a cross-section of current families and alumni) to participate. Thank you to those who have already registered!
  • The session will be led by James Warren, the founder and CEO of Share More Stories. James is also a St M parent of Evan '28 and Alexis '30 and a St M Board of Trustees member.
  • Participants will need to bring their own digital devices to complete a written prompt.
  • As an incentive to participate, ALL registrants will be entered to win a $250 VISA gift card.
  • To our brand new families, we realize you may not have many St M experiences to draw upon yet, but between the admissions experience and your first month as part of the St M community, we’d be willing to bet you’ve got at least one! If that sounds like you, then we’d love for you to participate!
  • Please register HERE.
With the insights from this study, we’ll identify what sets St M apart as well the important actions we can take to strengthen the St M experience.

As you’ll experience in the SEEQ Platform, this research is different from typical surveys or focus groups. This project invites you to write a short personal story about your experience at St. Michael’s and to do so in a deeply engaging, private, and confidential way. The identities of all participants will be kept strictly confidential by Share More Stories, and St. Michael’s will only be reviewing findings, insights, and recommendations at a project level.

Thank you in advance for your participation in this important and meaningful project! We are most grateful for your help and insights!

Sincerely,
Bob Gregg,
Head of School
