St. Michael's believes that important learning happens outside the classroom with purposeful exposure to a broad variety of activities and experiences. After-School Enrichment (ASE) activities and sports provide opportunities for students to explore many different interests and develop new passions.

SEASON: The winter sports and ASE seasons begins the week of November 8.
**About the SMBA (St. Michael's Basketball Association)
- SMBA (St. Michael's Basketball Association) intramural basketball is offered to grades 4-8.
- A longstanding St M tradition, our SMBA basketball teams are co-ed and foster cross-grade and community relationships. St M alumni eagerly return each year and coach. Our students and families cheer and celebrate the sportsmanship, hard work, and efforts of all of the teams.
- SMBA basketball registration for Grades 4-5 will be via the Lower School Active link ABOVE. SMBA registration for Middle School grades 6-8 will be via the Google Form BELOW.
COVID PROTOCOLS: As necessary, Coach Kern, our Athletic Director, will provide participants with written COVID safety protocols for all winter sports. Participants and spectators should be prepared to wear masks should VISAA (Virginia Independent Schools Athletic Association) or St. Michael's require them.
PLEASE NOTE:
- Eighth Grade Model United Nations registration will happen separately once MUN conferences are confirmed.
- The Middle School Spring Musical will take place the last weekend of April. Practices will begin during the month of January. As such, Mrs. Childs will send out separate registration information. Questions? Email dchilds@stmschool.net.
