Texas A&M University–San Antonio has released an updated Brand Guide to help ensure a consistent, clear, and unified look and voice across all University communications. The refreshed guide includes guidance on visual identity, tone and messaging, logo usage, and templates designed to support your work and strengthen how we present A&M–San Antonio to our community. Faculty and staff are encouraged to review the updated Brand Guide and begin using it in all print and digital materials moving forward.

Faculty and staff are encouraged to remind students to check out and participate in the on-campus Welcome Week event! These events are designed to help students build connections, learn about campus resources, and feel supported as they start the term. Your encouragement can make a meaningful difference in helping students get involved and start the semester strong.

Dr. Rebekah E. Piper, associate professor and newly appointed chair of the Department of Curriculum & Instruction, has joined a select group of academic leaders from across the country to strengthen the skills needed to successfully navigate today’s higher-education landscape. She was one of just 37 academic leaders selected to participate in the American Association of State Colleges and Universities’ Department Chair Leadership Institute, a program designed to develop and support academic leaders at public colleges and universities nationwide. 

As Cristian Moran walked the commencement stage as A&M-San Antonio’s honorary 20,000th graduate, he represented the thousands of Jaguars whose lives had been transformed through higher education since the University opened in 2009. A first-generation student, Moran found his path through research, leadership, and a passion for using technology to drive social impact. 

The University is excited to introduce Maria, its new Virtual Engagement Officer, designed to serve as a point of connection for prospective students, families, alumni, and friends of the University. Named in honor of the University’s first president, Dr. Maria Ferrier, Maria reflects the institution’s mission of access, service, and community impact.

Navigating campus can sometimes feel overwhelming. To make it easier, A&M–San Antonio has launched an interactive 3D map that takes the stress out of finding your way.

The map includes customizable features that enable users to personalize their experiences and highlight key destinations, such as academic buildings, residence halls, parking lots and dining options. With this new tool, you can easily identify where they need to go and how to get there.  

The Growler is the campus newsletter for faculty and staff of Texas A&M-San Antonio. The Growler is published every Tuesday from the start of the semester, providing insight into A&M-SA news, events, and announcements. If you would like to promote a University-wide event or announcement in The Growler, submit this form by 5 p.m. CT on a Monday the week before publication.
