Dear Setonians,
I am delighted to share that our Board of Regents retreat, held September 28 and 29 in Philadelphia, was a tremendous success.
We launched the new academic year with a vigorous and rigorous reflection on the role of the Board and our University’s many goals and opportunities in this transitional year. We also examined our ongoing efforts to transform and strengthen graduate recruitment, marketing, and programs; reviewed our excellent enrollment and student retention news; discussed our record-level fundraising efforts; and examined our solid financial health and long-term outlook.
The Board also discussed the presidential search that is now underway with the appointment of the search committee members, as you saw in Chairman D’Alessandro’s message on Friday.
It is going to be a year of transition but also one of transformation. Guided by our Harvest Our Treasures strategic plan, we have accomplished much in a short period of time. Yet, there is much more to do. As we engage in the search for Seton Hall’s 22nd president, we remain committed to fulfilling the ambitious goals we articulated in our plan.
I am grateful to be able to serve as your Interim President. Together, we will complete our strategic plan and lay the foundation for the work that will carry Seton Hall forward.
I appreciate your good work and your prayers as we show the state, the nation, and the world What Great Minds Can Do.
Thank you for your continued support,
