Our office brings you this newsletter to provide updates on; KU and College policies and procedures, relevant deadlines, and any news that may impact your work with College undergraduate students. You're receiving this as a representative of your department or campus partner office.

Mid-semester coursework sometimes results in an increased need for information on academic misconduct charges. This is a reminder on how to access resources and where to reach out for questions. The full academic misconduct policy can be found on our website along with the required form to charge misconduct.  For any questions regarding academic misconduct policy or procedure, please don’t hesitate to reach out to Taylor Wren (taylorwren@ku.edu, 785-864-0916) in College Undergraduate Academic Services.

Departments may waive a student’s requirements down to College minimums using the standard Exception Request form. Any request that would drop a student below these requirements requires the Degree Requirement Petition form to be completed, as this must be approved at the College level and cannot be approved by only the department. Find details of the College minimums below. The Exception Request form, Blanket Exception Request form (for multiple students), and the Degree Requirement Petition form can all be found online here. Some degree minimums are university-level requirements, and exceptions must be requested via the Fac Ex petition. 

A Fac Ex petition is required for requests that would drop below these requirements.

The College hosted Winter WELLcome on January 21st - a winter welcome back event focused on all things wellness. Information and freebies from campus wellness partners, snacks, giveaways, and hot drinks were available for students to stop by and say hi to the College. We had a great turnout, and cannot thank our campus partners enough for their help and contributions to connect our students with the wide array of resources available on campus.
