SOI Alumni Program

In this logbook we are focusing entirely on the SOI Alumni Program and the incredible work of alumni around the globe! Tune in on The Bridge to learn more about opportunities to get involved; participate in a photo contest; hear from our alumni who are working with Parks Canada; and more!
Charlie and Joshua are two SOI alumni who now work at Parks Canada in the Nunavut Field Unit. We interviewed them about their current jobs and their passions. They also discuss their favourite memories from expedition, their goals for the future and advice they have for youth.
Do you have a favourite photo from your expedition? Lee Narraway, one of SOI’s incredibly talented photographers, is launching a photo contest. Enter your favourite photo that you took on your SOI expedition for a chance to win a 1-on-1 session with one of our expedition photographers, Natta Summerky!
Regardless of age, having a mentor can change the way we perceive and act in the world. Mentoring increases confidence and can reduce anxiety associated with taking big steps in life. Read more about SOI’s mentorship program here and if you’re an alum, consider signing up!
Learn about the E2C Team across Inuit Nunangat! We have three vibrant and unique communities that comprise our Expedition 2 Community Program. Check out what they have been up to, and stay tuned over the fall and winter to LEARN how you can recreate some of their amazing projects in your community.

What's on Deck!

Our next release will be focused on Circumpolar Stories from the Land. We will be featuring content from a variety of perspectives on what it means to value and respect the land we are on. Stay tuned to also hear stories from across the Arctic!
