Lifting the Burdon of Others

A message from Marlene…
Dear friends,
Charles Dickens once said, “No one is useless in the world who lightens the burdens of another.” Your donations last year made it possible to keep our doors open and continue our work to support tens of thousands of people with over 60 essential programs and services. These programs include shelters for men, women and children facing homelessness, services for our beloved elders, clinical care for those struggling with addictions, mental health programs, immigration and refugee resettlement, adoption and family services. The list goes on! Because of you, none of this work stopped during the unpredictable effects of the COVID19 pandemic last year!
So many of you have reached out to CFC in Love, through your donations, your gifts for our clients, your words of encouragement and support to our staff, and for your advocacy for our vulnerable neighbors. In this issue, we share some notable examples of hundreds of individuals and local companies and organizations who helped to lift the burdens of so many this winter.
I wish you and your family a safe and warm journey to spring and new life.

In gratitude,
Marlene
