On Monday, February 10, fencing will be installed as construction begins on the new Student Union and Student Services Center. The fencing will be placed at the front of campus, closing off the traffic circle and extending to the B 100 building. Additional fencing will be installed in the quadrant between the B 300 building, the back side of the SSC, and the Gym. The OCTA Bus Stop will temporarily move to Irvine Center Drive. Students and visitors are encouraged to use the entrances along Jeffrey Road or Laser Way as traffic will be rerouted at the main campus entrance off of College and Irvine Center Drive. The California Community College Athletic Association (3C2A) has announced that IVC’s 2023-24 Men’s Volleyball team has been selected as a Scholar Team recipient. The award recognizes the academic achievement of the 17-player team, led by Head Coach Rory Jones, which had a cumulative GPA of 3.34. This is IVC’s fifth team award, joining Men’s Soccer (2021), Beach Volleyball (2019), Beach Volleyball (2015), and Men’s Volleyball (2014).
