Dear Division Colleagues,
Happy Friday and happy last-day-before-Spring-Break day! Given that today is National Day of Unplugging, we hope that you find time during this more relaxed week ahead to slow down and recharge. Consider also using your Spiritual Renewal Day during this season of Lent to contribute to preparing your hearts for Good Friday and Easter Sunday next month.

Black History Month – Special thanks to all of our staff across the division and partners across campus who made Black History Month impactful for our staff and students.
|
Big XII on the Hill – Drs. Jackson and Hynes, Jordy Dickey and Tanner Vickers recently traveled to Washington DC with 6 of our very finest student leaders for Big 12 on the Hill. The purpose of this event was to provide the opportunity for these student leaders to advocate to representatives and staffers around issues that are collectively determined by the Big 12 representative schools. In addition to the lobbying efforts, they also had meaningful connections with Baylor in Washington students and alumni who live in the area.

Message from the SL AI Committee – Colleagues, on behalf of the Student Life AI Committe, please take 10 minutes to complete this survey on staff perceptions of AI and AI tools. Your responses will help shape future training sessions and guide AI tool implementation as we continue to assess AI's role in supporting our division's strategic plan. We are hoping for all responses to be submitted by Friday March 21. As a thank you for participating, those who provide their contact information at the conclusion of the survey will be entered into a drawing for $75 to the Baylor Bookstore. Click here to take the survey: https://baylor.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_5sWUPSBoCE4gdJs

Enjoy Your Spring Break – As a friendly reminder, next week is spring break. While campus may feel a bit quieter with fewer students around, the university will remain open for normal business operations. Please coordinate with your office/director/dean to ensure there is adequate coverage in your respective offices. Though campus slows down, students will be going out across the country and the world. Please pray for our students (and our colleagues) for safe travels as they go out.
|
Ramadan Boxes – Better Together is partnering with the Baylor Eats team to provide a way for students observing Ramadan to pick up a ready-made meal for breaking their fasts. These halal plates will include a meal, fruit, beverage, and dates. They will be readily available for pick up at Memorial Dining hall from 6pm-9pm Monday through Friday, and from the Penland Market 6pm-9pm Saturday and Sunday.

There is a good chance you know some upperclassmen who might enjoy reliving the fun they had during Welcome Week. Encourage them to come back to campus a little early and become a Welcome Week Leader for this next fall! We are advertising the following to them starting next week:
Make a difference in our community by welcoming the newest Bears home to Baylor! New Student Programs is now accepting applications for Welcome Week Leaders. Help guide our new students as they begin their Baylor journey! Click HERE for more information.
