Walsh University Earns Spot on Global Visibility Rankings, Showcasing International Reach |
Walsh University is proud to be recognized on the 2025–2026 Global University Visibility (GUV) Rankings, coming in at No. 510 out of 1,000 ranked institutions worldwide. Walsh is one of the only small, private and independent universities in Ohio to earn a spot on this international list. Compiled by American Caldwell, the GUV Rankings focus on public visibility based on metrics such as mainstream news mentions, internet search volume, social media presence, and website traffic. The goal is to provide a real-time picture of how universities are seen and searched around the world. Unlike rankings based on self-reported stats, GUV rankings are based entirely on independently verifiable data focused on brand strength and public prominence. Walsh University’s inclusion reflects our efforts to expand our footprint both nationally and globally. https://americancaldwell.com/guv-rankings

Dr. Julie Szendrey's peer-reviewed journal article, "Family Frugality Scale: Development, Validation, and Usage of an Implicit Financial Socialization Modeling Measure," was published in the May 2025 edition of the Journal of Financial Counseling and Planning. The scale was developed to measure an individual’s perception of how frugal their family was in the management of resources while the individual was growing up and can be used to evaluate how other financial behaviors relate to family frugality. In collaboration with Dr. Laci Fiala, Hiram University, this is Dr. Szendrey's third peer-reviewed journal article resulting from Acton Institute mini-grant funding, which enabled them to conduct focus group and survey data research.
