New QR Code Service Request Signs |
|
|
During spring break, the classroom QR code service request signs were successfully placed. Ken Kato and the Location Innovation Lab team integrated this new initiative with the call log system.
The SRS staff printed and cut the signs to fit into plexiglass holders, which Terri Winn placed the week before spring break. Pete Enfield ensured all the signs were properly installed.
This initiative will simplify the process for staff, faculty, and students to submit service requests. Ken Kato presented this initiative at the Facilities Liaison meeting on April 1st.

AssetWorks Conference 2025 |
|
|
Jude Hess, Kyle Wilson, and LeAnna Pitts attended the AiM user conference in March.
Here are some key takeaways:
Enhanced User Experience:
In a classroom setting, we learned how to upgrade to the new work desk with dashboards, significantly enhancing the user experience and making the platform more intuitive and user-friendly. Please note that the classic version we currently use will no longer be supported in 18 months.
| | Engagement:
The conference provided opportunities to connect, share best practices, and collaborate on common challenges.
Training Module:
We received an overview of the training platform and how it can be tailored to fit our business processes.
Team Scheduler:
Details on the new team scheduler feature were shared, highlighting its potential to streamline team coordination and scheduling.

New Automated Email Notification for Shopping Carts in AiM |
|
| We are excited to introduce a new feature that sends daily notification emails at 3:00 PM to Shopping Cart contacts when their items are ready for pickup.
Below is a screenshot of the notification email:
|
|
|
Notification emails are sent for “Open” Pick Ticket Line Items associated with Pick Tickets in “Finalized” status, provided the Shopping Cart has a valid “Contact Email.”
To ensure a notification email is sent, the following conditions must be met:
● The Shopping Cart must have a valid “Contact Email.” This may require you to update the contact info on your shopping cart that loads from the work order contact.
● The Pick Ticket must be in “Finalized” status.
● The Pick Ticket Line Item(s) must be in “Open” status.

View the UO's Greenhouse Gas Impacts for 2023-24 |
|
|
|
The Office of Sustainability has released UO's greenhouse gas emissions data for fiscal year 2023-24. Emissions have increased compared to the past couple of years, mainly due to air travel and commuting, reflecting the ongoing adjustment after COVID-19 lockdowns. However, emissions remain lower than pre-pandemic levels.

I wanted to recognize Rick's excellent work in the replacement of the UHS transformer. I really appreciated that he and his team recognized the problem ahead of time and worked with us to select a window to complete the replacement. Not only he was excellent in partnership but his continuous monitoring of the asset avoided a catastrophic unplanned outage which would have cost us tens of thousands of dollars in lost revenue or far more depending on the outage timeframe.
He and his crew made this replacement look easy and with the least amount of interruption. We are very happy with this turn of events. - Volga Koval, University Health Services

Thank you for the excellent Facilities Liaison meeting today. I find those very informative.
