April is a busy and exciting time here at Houston Audubon! Earth Month, the peak of spring migration, and Volunteer Appreciation Week are all upon us. It is also the perfect time to volunteer, and we have some great new opportunities for you. Since time is precious during this season, with no further ado, read below for how you can get involved. 

Upcoming Volunteer Projects

North Jetty Cleanup 

Saturday, April 3rd, 9am 
Protect shorebirds by removing washed up garbage and litter from the beach. Come one,  come all! No registration is required for this event: click here for details

Spring Migration at High Island

NOW - May 2nd

 *Volunteers still needed! NEW Roving Volunteer slots added!*  Joining our biggest volunteer effort of the year at this well known birding hotspot.

Weekends, starting ASAP
Edith L. Moore Nature Sanctuary
Enjoy walking our peaceful trails while helping educate our visitors on the difference between a sanctuary and a public park and how they can respect habitat while appreciating nature.

Help out at our Birdathon Awards Celebration by managing an informational or activity station.  

Birdathon Birding Guides

Various locations in greater Houston 
We need experienced birders to lead newbie teams for Birdathon, our annual spring fundraiser and birding competition.
