While summer weather brings sunshine 🌞and temperate weather, the changing seasons can leave some folks feeling blue 😔 This summer semester, check-in with your well-being and build your skills to support others by participating in our upcoming training offerings.
In this edition of the Wellness Digest, we're excited to share some upcoming offerings to help our campus community of students, staff, and faculty stay holistically well over break.

What to Expect

In this two-day training, you will gain the skills to assess risk, respond confidently, and connect individuals to appropriate care in mental health and substance use situations.
Certification is valid for 3 years.
Participants must complete both the 2 hour online pre-work module and attend both instructor-led sessions in its entirety to become certified
For employees, completing Mental Health First Aid can earn you a WellU credit toward reducing health insurance costs

This training is available at no cost for students, staff, and faculty. Contact our office to learn about future training dates.

| Expanded Wellness Coaching Offerings |
This summer, we are able to expand our coaching services for University of Utah staff!
This temporary offering is available for Student Affairs staff to support our team members' certification completion.
These no-cost twenty minute sessions are facilitated by CCW staff working toward their board certification requirements and are available until September 1st.
Note: Our service does not provide WellU credits; staff seeking this benefit can access coaching sessions through the Employee Wellness Program.

Welcome Libna Noor to the Center for Campus Wellness! |
This month, we have the privilege of adding a fantastic staff member to our team.
Libna Noor joins us as a Victim Survivor Advocate with extensive knowledge and experience as a case manager working with Student Support.
Her extensive knowledge, strong partner connections, and dedication to student-centered practices have made lasting impacts in the lives of the students she supports. We are so excited to have her join our team!

| Introducing our Advocacy Support Manager |
We are excited to announce that Lou Vigil, is stepping into a new role as Advocacy Support Manager.
In this role, Lou will oversee the development of partnerships and data-driven assessment measures for our Victim Survivor Advocacy program.
They bring a deep knowledge of advocacy work, strong policy and systems understanding, and a thoughtful, team-centered approach to this leadership role as our office expands to respond to campus need for increased advocacy services.

CCW Service Changes for Summer Renovations |
We are quickly approaching our office closure date for renovations at the Student Services Building! Starting June 23rd, many our programs will shift online or undergo schedule changes for the remainder of the summer semester.

College life can be overwhelming—but you don't have to figure it all out on your own! At drop-in sessions with our Peer Well-being Navigators, you can connect with fellow students who are here to help you answer questions, get support, learn about resources, or just chat!

- May 12th to June 16th, drop-ins are welcome from Mondays 10am - 12pm.
- Starting June 16th to August 1st, this service will transition to only virtual sessions. During this time, students can request a virtual session with a Navigator by booking an appointment on Medicat.

The Pleasure Pack Delivery Service (PPDS) offers safer sex supplies and education including condoms, oral dams, pregnancy tests, and emergency contraception to support students in maintaining healthy and safe sexual practices

From May 7th - June 20th, PPDS orders may be picked up on a drop-in basis from our Student Services Building office at Suite 350
- From June 23rd - July 31st, PPDS services will pause
- From August 4th - August 15th, PPDS orders may be picked up on a drop-in basis
- Starting August 18th, PPDS will restart for the Fall Semester

Wellness coaches can help with any area of wellbeing. If there is something related to health or wellbeing that is affecting your ability to live your life as you want, a wellness coach can help you to work through obstacles and help in the goal setting process.
