Dear Parents/Guardians/Caregivers:
Welcome to the 2021-2022 school year. Part of my duties as the elected school board trustee for our community, is to advocate for you and your child, help you navigate our large school system and represent the needs of all students and families in the Toronto District School Board.
The TDSB is doing everything possible to create the safest educational environment for students and staff. As we re-open schools, the TDSB continues to focus on supporting the mental health and well-being while considering the needs of students, families and staff. We are continuing to take direction from Toronto Public Health and the Ministry of Education through regular consultation. To overcome the many challenges that may arise from the on-going Covid-19 pandemic (Delta variant), it will continue to require partnership, understanding and patience. I thank you in advance for your support of children and the entire community.

This webpage is continuously being updated with the most relevant information to assist and help support your family.
There continues to be many contentious issues before the board; mandatory student mask wearing, mandatory education worker vaccination and resource allocation to name only a few. I want to thank parents on both sides of any particular issue for sharing their thoughts and opinions. Hearing and learning from these families and community thoughts help me to gain greater perspective and understanding. I’m always looking to learn more about your priorities, issues and local school successes. The TDSB is the largest school board in the country, but it’s the bonds and relationships that make our schools feel like family/community. I look forward to working in partnership with students, families and your local school community as I believe we all have an important role to play. Trustees and TDSB staff continue to work hard together to create the safest and best educational experience possible for students throughout the Toronto District School Board.
