Let us count the ways. Since 1963, FMCA has been helping RVers do what they love, and we love doing this.
Helping members hit the road with fellow RVers by joining a chapter or a members-only RV caravan tour. Keeping members updated on the RV lifestyle via Family RVing magazine. Helping them learn all the ins and outs of their RVs with FMCA University. Saving members a little green along the way with our group discounts on RV insurance, campground stays, and mail forwarding. Enabling them to travel with peace of mind knowing they are covered by the FMCAssist Medical Emergency and Travel Assistance Program should they ever need the help.
But we don't do it alone. FMCA has some great commercial partners. Plus, without our caring, considerate, big-hearted, RV-loving members, our organization would never be so strong.
How do we love thee? Let us count the ways!

I wanted to send a thank-you note for the opportunity to subscribe to T-Mobile for our hotspot through FMCA. We have contracted with other Wi-Fi internet companies only to be throttled back after 25GB, even though they claim to be unlimited. My wife and I are heavy users, and we have not seen any reduction in service or signal as we travel across the country. So far, our signal has been stronger than what the RV park offers.
Thanks again for the great services offered to FMCA members.

How Do I Connect With Other RVers?
| |
At one point in time, the primary way to meet fellow RVers was by parking next to them at a campground. Now, with social media, it’s easier to connect with like-minded RVers and share your love for the RV lifestyle with the people you meet online. Platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and RVillage are great to use while on the road.
Facebook can be used to follow certain pages, such as FMCA; to find events or rallies; and to join Facebook groups. Facebook groups let you talk to other RVers directly and create an online community no matter where you are. For example, you can discuss your favorite destinations, ask questions, share tips, or just say hi in the RVs & Camping - On the Road with FMCA group.Â
Instagram allows you to share photos and videos of your adventures. Use hashtags and tagged locations to find people with similar interests or inspiration for your next road trip. You can follow FMCA’s Instagram here and tag us to possibly be featured on our page.
RVillage can also be used to meet fellow campers wherever you are staying. It’s a social media platform specifically made for RVers to help bring them together at campgrounds, parks, and even while boondocking.
No matter what platform you use, social media is a great way to stay connected and share your love of the RV lifestyle. You never know whom you’ll meet!

It’s no secret that FMCA members love to give back to the communities they visit. Whether they are gathering for an international convention, area rally, or chapter rally, members enjoy repaying the hospitality shown to them by the hosting neighborhood. In our November 2021 Mile Marker, we wrote about the different ways FMCA members give back to these communities.
Recently, FMCA decided it was time to develop a charitable organization to bring all of our loving acts together. Introducing Driven To Care, a fundraising initiative established to bring awareness of FMCA’s presence to each of our members and in each community we visit.
Starting in Tucson, Arizona, during FMCA’s 104th International Convention & RV Expo, March 23 through 26, we will be holding the inaugural Driven To Care Silent Auction. If you or your chapter, organization, company, or group of friends wishes to put together a bag, basket, or box of items to auction off, please reach out to “Sunsets + Saguaros” silent auction coordinator Pam Blair at blairbobpam@gmail.com.
Stay tuned for more exciting news about this worthwhile addition to our convention activities!

| What To Do About Mail?
FMCA’s mail forwarding service partners make sure your mail follows you wherever you roam. One of our providers, Americas Mailbox, offers a variety of plans from which to choose. Select the one that best fits your needs and budget, and get your mail on the frequency schedule you prefer. The company can also assist with residency needs.

| Protect Your Pets
Let FMCA help you take some of the sting out of pet insurance costs. Thanks to our partners at FMCA RV Insurance, FMCA members can choose between Nationwide Insurance and Embrace Pet Insurance, each of which offers three pet insurance options that provide coverage for dogs and cats. Select the plan that works best for you and your furry companions. Learn more here.

Its location in the beautiful Coachella Valley is just one of the features that draw RVers to this family-owned resort. Guests can opt for spacious full-hookup sites in paved or grassy areas or try “glamping” in a vintage RV. Amenities include a heated pool and jacuzzi, ponds and nature trails, and pet stations, as well as a library/business center, clubhouse, and TV/cards room. The resort offers shuttle service and special-event packages during the annual Coachella and Stagecoach festivals.
