Summer and Fall Registration Begins Monday! |
Registration for Summer and Fall classes, opens on Monday March 23 via the Cav Center! Be sure to register EARLY to ensure your schedule is optimal. If you are not sure of the day and time that you are eligible to register, please view your Registration Time Ticket on your Student Profile Page.

Big Wins for Basketball and Track! |
The Cavaliers made history this season, advancing to the NCAA Division II Sweet 16 for the first time in school history. Although they fell to Michigan Tech 87–70 in Alumni Arena, their grit, heart, and teamwork exemplified the Walsh spirit and united our entire campus community in pride and support. Congratulations also to Head Coach Jeff Young, who achieved his 500th career win during this remarkable 29–4 season.

In other exciting athletics news, three Track and Field Athletes competed at the NCAA DII Indoor Track and Field National Championships last weekend in Virginia Beach, VA! Tatum Miller (Weight Throw), Joel Brown (Heptathlon), and Brody Pumneo (800m) represented the Maroon and Gold! Brown had a stellar performance in the Heptathlon finishing as National Runner Up and First Team All-American with a score of 5489 points. Tatum Miller earned Second Team All-American in the Weight Throw, finishing in 12th place. Brody Pumneo finished 14th overall in the 800m. Congrats to them!

Launchpad 2026 x America 250 Pitch Competition Winners Announced |
Student innovators took the stage yesterday during Launchpad 2026 x America 250, a Shark Tank–style pitch competition hosted by The Garage: Nolan Family Center for Innovation at the Barrette Business and Community Center. Students presented business ideas ranging from early-stage concepts to growing ventures, receiving feedback from a panel of judges while competing for cash prizes.

1st Place ($2,500): Marie Hampshire, Photographer
2nd Place ($1,500): Noah Bott, Overflow Water Bottles App
3rd Place ($1,000): Arabella Keim, Magdalena Veils
Launchpad serves as a steppingstone toward the upcoming America 250 Pitch Competition, which will award $25,000 in total prizes, giving students the opportunity to refine their ideas and take their ventures to the next level.

Walsh University Women’s Soccer Partners with U.S. Marines for Leadership Summit |
Walsh University Women’s Soccer team partnered with the United States Marine Corps this week for a high-energy Leadership Summit, combining military-style physical training with interactive leadership exercises focused on discipline, teamwork, and resilience. Led by Head Coach Hannah Brown in collaboration with Joshua Ruiz, coordinator of Veterans Affairs, the program challenged players to build trust, strengthen communication, and explore how the core values of service, accountability, and integrity shape effective leadership both on the field and in life. The initiative also highlighted the growing partnership between Walsh University and the military community, reinforcing athletics as a powerful leadership laboratory for Cavalier scholar-athletes. | Read More (Press Release)

Celebrate Servant Leadership at the Cavs Connect Mixer, April 8 |
Juniors and seniors, faculty, and all T.O.W.E.R. nominees are invited to the Cavs Connect Alumni and Student Mixer on Wednesday, April 8, from 4 to 6 PM in the Marlene and Joe Toot Global Learning Center Atrium. The event features a panel discussion facilitated by President Tim Collins, with past T.O.W.E.R. of Excellence finalists and alumni who exemplify servant leadership in their careers and beyond, including Jackie Noelker ’20, Young Alumni Coordinator at Stephen T. Badin High School; Maddie Francisco ’22, Director of Youth and Young Adult Accompaniment & Campus Ministry for the Catholic Diocese of Youngstown; and Chris Villarreal ’22, Seminarian at Saint Mary Seminary, Diocese of Cleveland. Join us in celebrating the hard work, dedication, and intellectual achievements of our Honors students as they present their senior thesis research. Covering a wide range of topics—from policy analysis and psychology to science and technology—these presentations highlight years of study and original research. Presentations will take place Thursday, March 19 through Thursday, March 26 in TNSC 108. This past weekend Walsh University hosted a jammed packed schedule of events including the NCAA Division II Regionals, the Diocese of Youngstown Encounter Youth Conference, soccer tournaments, rugby tournaments, Future Cavalier Day, and more! A huge shout out to Athletics, Campus Police, Facilities, Special Programs, Enrollment, Student Experience and the many faculty, staff, coaches, and student volunteers who ensured these events were successful and welcoming for all guests!
