A big "Thank You" and "Best Wishes" to Makayla as she wraps up her time with Fond du Lac County 4-H!
Makayla has been an incredible part of our team, serving as a summer intern for several summers. Throughout her time with us, she has shared her enthusiasm, dedication, and passion for working with youth, making a positive impact on countless 4-H members and families. Her hard work behind the scenes and at events has helped make our programs successful year after year.
As she begins her career as a teacher, we know she will bring the same energy, creativity, and caring spirit to her classroom that she has shown in 4-H. While her internship may be ending, we're hopeful you'll still see her around the area and perhaps volunteering with the 4-H program from time to time.
We are so grateful for all that Makayla has contributed over the years and wish her nothing but success in this exciting next chapter. If you see her, be sure to congratulate her and wish her well!

4-H Fall Kick-Off Planning Meeting |
|
|
|
We are seeking 4-H Youth members to develop ideas for decorations, snacks, and agenda items for the kick-off! Last year the group planned a neon-themed kick-off to start the new 4-H year. Activities included trivia, a scavenger hunt (Goosechase), snacks, idea sharing, and more. If party planning is your calling, this is the committee for you!
We are seeking youth and adult committee members. Please fill out the interest form here by Monday, August 24th. The first meeting will be Monday, August 24 at 6:00 pm. If you cannot make the first meeting, we will have a few after.

4-H Online Rollover Process |
System Access Pause: From Monday, August 31 through Wednesday, September 2, families will not be able to access their 4-H Online accounts. This temporary shutdown allows us to implement updates for the new program year.
Registration for the 2026-2027 program year will be available starting September 3, 2026!

Introducing 4-H Project Learning Labs! |
|
|

Looking for fresh ideas, ready-to-use activities, and practical ways to bring 4-H project learning to life? Join us for the NEW: 4-H Project Learning Labs, a virtual series designed for volunteers, youth and adult leaders, and anyone interested in helping young people explore projects in engaging and meaningful ways.
Our first session on September 24 will serve as an introduction to the Project Learning Lab series. This kickoff session will help participants learn how the series will work, explore available resources, and experience a brief sample project lesson. Most importantly, we'll gather your input on the project topics and learning experiences you'd like to see featured in future sessions.

Each Learning Lab will offer:

- Hands-on learning experiences

Shareable resources to use with your club or program
- Ready-to-use lessons and activity ideas
- Practical tips for leading project learning experiences
- A welcoming environment where no prior experience is needed

Whether you're a seasoned volunteer looking for new inspiration or are just getting started, Project Learning Labs will provide practical tools, creative ideas, and opportunities to connect with others who are passionate about helping young people learn by doing.
Come ready to explore, share your ideas, and help shape the future of Project Learning Labs! Future Learning Labs may be hybrid meetings, meaning we will meet in person in the county but will have a presenter virtually. There will be time for discussion after the lesson and planning time as a county.

The Market Livestock Production Report must be completed by all exhibitors who sold a market animal at the Fond du Lac County Market Livestock Auction/Meat Animal Sale. Deadline is Friday, September 11.
- Market Livestock Committee applications are due September 15 and can be found on the Fond du Lac County Fair website under Exhibitors/Market Livestock Committee and Project.

Shooting Sports Volunteers Needed - Sign up for a Certification Workshop! |
Come spend the day learning from extremely knowledgable state-level instructors, many of whom are Level 2 National 4-H Certified Instructors, with decades of combined experience to share! Becoming a qualified instructor does not mean you need extensive experience or background knowledge. This training will prepare participants to help lead or support an existing Shooting Sports program. Only one discipline may be completed per workshop. Disciplines Offered: Archery, Coordinator, Muzzleloader, Pistol/Air Pistol, Rifle/Air Rifle, and Shotgun
When: Saturday, September 19, 8am-5pm
Where: Central Wisconsin Sportsmen's Club in Marshfield
Who: Approved volunteers who are registered through 4-H Online
