Dear Alumni and Friends,
We are off to the races! We have one week left before we open our doors to greet our 182 freshmen! Construction on the Connelly Wellness Center will be complete next week, and we will be making last minute updates and moving in furniture. Our Ribbon Cutting Ceremony and Blessing is scheduled for September 15, 2025 at 12 PM. Our students will now have a student center, surrounded by wrap around services so they can thrive at Carroll and beyond!
In addition to the Wellness Center, we are busy installing air conditioning to the main hallways and offices, setting up a new phone system for the entire school, redesigning the faculty lounge, and installing a new bell system!
We are $200,000 away from building our multipurpose turf field for 11 sports teams. We need your help to raise this last $200,000 and allow Carroll to start digging in the fall. We can do this!!
Carroll continues to be the place to be, as we invest in facilities and programs designed to elevate the student experience. The upgrades allow Carroll to live its mission to inspire and empower our students to make a difference in this world.
Our students are thriving, thanks to all you do to support Carroll. You are making a difference every day.
With gratitude,
Patricia G. Scott, Ed.D. President

Connelly Wellness Center Nears Completion, Plus New Upgrades and the Fran Lynam ’73 Bleachers Are On The Way!

Connelly Wellness Center
The Connelly Wellness Center is quickly taking shape and remains on schedule for its grand opening at the beginning of the school year. While the photos above may look like renderings, they’re real and it’s coming along beautifully! We’re now at the final stages of making the vision feel more tangible.
Additional Campus Upgrades
In addition to the Wellness Center progress, we’re also completing several important campus upgrades: replacing the roof above the Center, a new phone system, and finally saying goodbye to the decades-old bell system, which is being replaced with a modern communication system throughout the hallways. There’s incredible momentum at Carroll, and we can’t wait to welcome our community into these new spaces in a few weeks!
The Fran Lynam '73 East Gym Bleachers
The final phase of this project, the addition of a second set of bleachers with a built-in score table behind the player benches on the side of the court Fran cherished and where he spent some of the best moments of his life, have been ordered. Installation is planned before the start of the 25/26 basketball season.

Ways YOU Can Invest in Carroll and our Students
|
|
|
| August is National Make-A-Will Month
If you have not already done so, we invite you to take a simple yet powerful step that can make a lasting impact: creating your will. No matter your stage of life or the size of your estate, a will allows you to:
- Protect your loved ones and provide for children or pets
- Ensure your assets are directed to the people and organizations you choose
- Share values of faith, love, and compassion with future generations
Through our new partnership with FreeWill, you can create or update your will online in about 20 minutes and completely free. While you have the opportunity to include a gift to Carroll in your plan, it is entirely optional. The true gift is the peace of mind knowing your plans are in place.
Although the month of August highlights the importance of this step, you can take advantage of this free resource any time of year. Create your will today and make an impact that lasts well beyond August.

Redirect your PA Taxes to Carroll
|
|
|
| Adam & Terry Hepp '72 | EITC Testimonial | EITC, too good to be true?
"They say, “If it looks too good to be true, it usually is” but not with Pennsylvania’s Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) Program. This program offers individuals and businesses a 90% PA state income tax credit for a two-year commitment when contributing to qualifying schools like Carroll.
Instead of sending those tax dollars to Harrisburg, you can direct them to Carroll, where they provide need-based aid for families seeking a Catholic education. It’s a win for families, a win for Carroll, and a win for Catholic education.
Terry and I have participated for nearly 20 years, helping countless students access opportunities they may not have had otherwise simply by choosing where our tax dollars go. The process is easy, especially through organizations like BLOCS or The Foundation for Catholic Education"

Presidential Patriot Endowment Fund -
A Matching Opportunity for Carroll's Future
|
|
|
Last spring, thanks to the vision and generosity of Stephen X. Graham ’70, Carroll established The Presidential Patriot Endowment Fund—a lasting investment in our school’s future. Already, it is making an impact, including an endowed scholarship honoring Michael Schanne ’95.
Now, Steve has pledged to match all new gifts to the fund, dollar-for-dollar, up to $200,000. This is a remarkable opportunity to double your impact and help ensure Carroll’s strength for generations of Patriots to come.

Football Alumni and Team BBQ
Despite the stormy skies, some of our dedicated Carroll football alumni returned to campus two weeks ago for a BBQ and the chance to meet today’s coaching staff and players. The team was energized by seeing alumni spanning the 1970s through the 2000s come back to show their support. Carroll Football tradition runs deep, and with alumni cheering them on, our Patriots are ready to take on the season!

A teacher who has made a difference!
Mr. Ronald Cummings - Science - by Aliza R. '26
"Mr. Cummings has had a lasting impact on my experience at Carroll both inside and outside the classroom. He supported me by writing a recommendation letter for a neuroscience program at UPenn and has given me the opportunity to learn from a quality teacher since my sophomore year. Even though I struggled with chemistry at first, his teaching and encouragement inspired me to stick with it, and now I enjoy the subject and can connect it to other fields like anatomy and psychology. When I had trouble grasping concepts, he never made me feel foolish for asking questions; instead, he patiently walked me through problems, simplifying them while reminding us that his role is to guide, not do the work for us. This approach has helped me grow more independent and confident as I prepare for college. Beyond academics, Mr. Cummings is approachable and supportive, yet firm enough to reinforce important lessons, ultimately shaping both my perspective on chemistry and my overall experience at Carroll."
