25th Annual Ocean Commotion at LSU
It’s that time of year again when the LSU Pete Maravich Assembly Center transforms into a portal towards K–8 environmental education, future science careers and coastal Louisiana stewardship. Co-founded by Louisiana Sea Grant (LSG) and the LSU Office of Communications and University Relations, Ocean Commotion is LSG’s premier outreach event where kids across Region 2 delve into coastal marshes and wetlands, invasive species, local ecosystems, boating safety and Louisiana geology and wildlife.. LSU Math Circle Competition Team (MCCT)
LSU MCCT follows the rich mathematical traditions of the Eastern European math circles, focusing on group conversations, making conjectures, and discovering mathematical insights. Together with LSU Mathematics graduate students and Mathematicians, 7th–12th graders explore mathematics with low-threshold/high-ceiling problems typically found outside of a conventional math curriculum—within an informal environment. The CWPPRA Public Outreach Program announced its debut of the public WaterMarks360 Caminada Headlands Virtual Field Trip Experience.
