Dear Playhouse Village Businesses,
During these trying times, we want you all to know that the PVA is here to serve you. We are working diligently to put together several resources from local, state, and national entities expressly designed for small businesses and our Village community. The situation continues to be fluid, but we are doing our best to compile this information on our website: www.playhousevillage.org/covid19updates.
Here are current grants that Pasadena businesses may be eligible to apply for:
1. California Small Business Relief Grant Program
The final round of the State of California's COVID-19 Relief Grant Program will open on April 28th and close on May 4th. This final round will accept new applications. Grant award amounts will be between $5,000 - $25,000. For more information, visit www.careliefgrant.com.
2. 'Keep Our Shops on the Block' - Personal Care and Retail Recovery Grants
Retail & personal care service businesses are encouraged to apply for the LA Regional COVID-19 Fund grants. Brick and mortar businesses that meet minimum criteria may submit an application beginning April 26th and no later than May 2nd. Grants of $10,000 will be awarded through an online, random application system. For more information please visit www.lacovidfund.org.
3. Restaurant Revitalization Fund
The American Rescue Plan Act established the Restaurant Revitalization Fund (RRF) to provide funding to help restaurants and other eligible businesses keep their doors open. This program will provide restaurants with funding equal to their pandemic-related revenue loss up to $10 million per business and no more than $5 million per physical location. Recipients are not required to repay the funding as long as funds are used for eligible uses no later than March 11, 2023. Applications will open soon.

4. Playhouse Village Association Grant Program
The Playhouse Village Association has two grant opportunities open to our businesses and cultural partners, with the goal of engaging our community and supporting our economy. For more information and to apply, please visit www.playhousevillage.org.
- Social Distanced Event Grant
Have an idea for a social distanced event or virtual program to engage your customers or patrons? The PVA’s new Social Distance Event Grants provides grants of up to $2,000 in support of activities and programs that create social connection of people while practicing social distancing. - Digital Marketing Grant
Want to create a website for your business or improve your online presence? Digital Marketing Grants of up to $2,000 are available to Playhouse Village businesses to develop a website, add e-commerce capabilities, build social media community, and more.
We recently hosted a webinar for businesses and cultural organizations to learn more about the grants program. The webinar covered grants topics including how to apply, grant requirements, suggestions for projects, and insight from past recipients of PVA grants. 5. Arcadia PPE Unite Event
PPE Unite™ will be at the Santa Anita Racetrack on Tuesday, April 27th from 10:00AM - 4:00PM. They provide free Personal Protective Equipment to LA County small businesses. Businesses with fewer than 50 employees can apply to receive a one-month supply of face masks, hand sanitizer, and face shields through the PPE Unite™ distribution program. These supplies are offered on a first come, first served basis, so don't delay. Sign up to get your free PPE at www.ppeunite.org.
