Welcome to a new Fall semester at UWM! We’re excited for another year of teaching, learning, and supporting our students together. TA+ is a newsletter to connect you with relevant resources. We’re glad you’re part of this community and look forward to the semester ahead.

The self-paced TA Orientation opened today, and is designed to prepare you for your first week of classes. It serves as your first mandatory step in preparing for teaching success at UWM. 

The in-person TA Orientation is the second part of mandatory TA orientation and training. The orientation is designed to inform TAs of their duties and responsibilities, provide instruction on teaching and learning tools (i.e., Canvas), and share essential resources. 

TA Orientation will be held in-person on Sep. 5, from 9:00a.m. – 12:00p.m. in Bolton Hall 150.

Special accommodations will be made if you are unable to attend the live components. If you have questions, please feel free to reach out to cetl@uwm.edu.

The TA Orientation webpage includes relevant and timely information about all three parts of TA orientation and training. 

The Graduate Assistants Handbook shares campus-level policies and procedures related to UWM Graduate and Graduate Teaching Assistants. It includes guidance on teaching, lab conduct, international student considerations, and more.
