Get to Know Your Benefits and Well-being Resources

Think about a time when you took a bite of a food and were transported back to your childhood dinner table, a holiday gathering, or celebration with friends. During National Nutrition Month, we invite you to focus on how food connects us to our cultures, our families and our friends. Sharing a meal is an opportunity to learn about its preparation, who made it, and where the ingredients were sourced. Health conditions, memories, traditions, seasons and access can all impact our relationship with food. While these factors influence the foods we eat, the foods we eat also affect our health. See what food facts and fiction you may know and let 2025 be the year you transform your relationship with food one bite at a time.

Do you skip breakfast or feel guilty when you eat your favorite foods? Are you tired, sluggish, or struggling to be active? Do you find yourself distracted by external cues like a computer or TV while eating? Our eating behaviors have more complexity to them than we often realize and so it may be time for you to try a metabolism makeover through mindful eating.
The practice of using mindful eating techniques can improve metabolic health, musculoskeletal health, and overall well-being by helping you become more aware of hunger cues, eat slower, and make conscious food choices to overcome emotional eating patterns. To place awareness on the menu, enjoy stocking your cupboard, broaden your palate, and truly experience a meal, try a Mindful Eating course with Headspace.

Managers should encourage their direct reports to take their well-earned time away from work throughout the year.
