Proverbs 4:25-27
Let your eyes look straight ahead;
    fix your gaze directly before you.
Give careful thought to the paths for your feet
    and be steadfast in all your ways.
Do not turn to the right or the left;
    keep your foot from evil.

New International Version (NIV)
               Are you right eye or left eye dominant?  Did you know there was such a thing?  A simple test will reveal that one of your eyes looks straight at what you see and guides the other eye to the spot.  I found this out when I took up archery.  I was shooting with my right eye open, and missing.  It turns out that my left eye is actually dominant and therefore more accurate.  In life as in archery, our direction is usually determined by our vision.
               Remember it starts in the heart!  Everything we do flows from the place we make our decisions.  We saw yesterday that our heart sets the direction for our speech.  Next Solomon points to our eyes and our feet!  “Let your eyes look straight ahead and fix your gaze directly before you.”
                In golf and in skiing and in life,  we end up going in the direction we look.  “Open our eyes Lord, we want to see Jesus.”  The more we focus on Christ, the less likely we are to drift spiritually.  Our eyes guide our feet.  Let’s give thought to our paths today.  The goal is to keep our hearts, our words, our eyes and our feet from evil.
Pray with me:
Father, give us the vision to walk in the right direction today.  Pitfalls lie to the left and the right.  We want to follow in the steps of Jesus, our Lord and Master.  In his name we pray.  Amen!
I want to invite you to join me in memorizing 52 passages this year from the 2017 set of Fighter Verses.  You can find the Fighter Verses App at the App Store on your phones or via this link  http://fighterverses.com/the-verses/fighter-verses/As we study the Bible this year, let's look at each text and learn what it says about God.
Joyfully,
