Join the Conversation
Each month in this corner, we share resources related to our ongoing campaign to generate artistic reflection and public conversation about stigma associated with disability.
This month we are sharing a heavy article from NPR about sexual assault of individuals with disabilities. As we organize The Art of Relationship convenings, this epidemic is very much on our minds.
Click here to read the article. (Be aware that it contains upsetting stories and may not be suitable for all audiences.)
As always, we welcome your thoughts via email, Facebook, or Twitter.

The Moth StorySlam with special guest Upstream Arts - February 28
Upstream Arts is delighted to be the special guest at The Moth's February StorySlam in St. Paul. After participating in an intensive storytelling workshop with the acclaimed storytelling organization The Moth, members of our community will enter their names in a lottery to have a chance to share their story on stage. Fingers crossed that one of our group will be selected! The Moth considers sharing stories to be an act of bravery and generosity; come celebrate the varied narratives of our community.
The StorySlam is Wednesday, February 28 at 7:30pm at the Amsterdam Bar. Tickets will be available for $10 starting a week before the show. Join us!
