Congratulations, Dairy Judging Teams!This year Fond du Lac County had Junior and Senior Teams participate in 4-H Dairy Judging. The youth had practiced and participated in a judging contest at Area Animal Science Days in June. The teams qualified to move on to the state contest. The placings for individuals as well as the teams are below.
Junior Team -10th overall

Senior Team - 4th overall; 3rd reasons
- Cameron R - 5th overall; 1st reasons

* Cameron qualified for and will be on the team representing WI at the NAILE contest in Louisville in November. Congratulations Cameron!
The teams were coached by Matthew Kramer and Chad Ryan. The coaches would like to thank all the kids who participated this year, the farms around the county that allowed the kids to have practices, and the parents who brought their kids to the practices.

Project Leader TrainingWe invite anyone interested in becoming a project leader and current protect leaders, both youth and adults, to the 4-H Project Leader Training. This training will include hands-on activities and resources available for project leaders. Youth and adult volunteers in Fond du Lac, Ozaukee, and Washington Counties are welcome to attend.
Please indicate below which date you will be joining us:
- Thursday, September 26, 2024. 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm. Washington County Public Agency Center, Room 3224, 333 E. Washington St., West Bend
- Tuesday, November 12, 2024. 6-8 pm. Ozaukee County
- Saturday, February 22, 2025. 1-3 pm. Fond du Lac County
* training location & details will be sent with your training confirmation. A minimum of 10 participants will be required for the training to be held.

| 2024 4-H Fall Kick-Off
When: Wednesday, October 2, 6:00-8:00 pm
Where: TBD - finalizing details with the location
Who should attend: New members, general club leaders, and youth leaders
What to Bring: Bring your ideas, pencil/pen, paper for notes, dress in your 4-H apparel, or dress up to show your Hawaiian Luau spirit
Join us in planning out the new 4-H year! Clubs will get a chance to plan out the year, get new ideas, share with other clubs, collaborate, play games and fun activities, and win some prizes! The club with the most participants in attendance will win a prize. Refreshments to match our kick-off theme will be served.
The committee is working hard to plan this first event to Kick-Off the new year! We look forward to seeing everyone.

Jax Finds His TalentYou now have the opportunity to sit down with best-selling author Tammy Stuhr as she reads her inspiring book Jax Finds His Talent, beautifully illustrated by Cindy Sarkady (Fond du Lac's Area Extension Director)! Discover how Jax finds his unique talents and learns to share them with the world. After the story, enjoy a fun activity led by Tammy that you can do from home or with friends at one of our host sites.

2024 Fall ForumSave the date and get ready to Spark New Connections at this year’s 4-H Fall Forum, November 2-3 in Stevens Point! Open to youth in grades 7 & up and adult volunteers; we hope you’ll consider joining to learn new ideas for your club, spark some new project ideas, and meet other members from around the state! Are you interested in stepping up your leadership in 4-H? Want to help promote 4-H statewide? Consider applying for the Wisconsin 4-H Leadership Council!
Applications for the 2024-25 year are available and ready for you to complete! Youth in grades 9-11 and Adult Volunteers are encouraged to apply for this awesome leadership opportunity!
WLC members:
• Serve as leaders and role models for 4-H youth and adults
• Advocate for Wisconsin 4-H
• Provide input for enhancing the 4-H program
• Provide educational opportunities to 4-H members and leaders
• Connect the county, regional, and state levels of Wisconsin 4-H

4-H Re-enrollment is OPEN!We would love to see you participate in the Fond du Lac County 4-H program. The Fond du Lac county deadline for returning members is Thursday, October 31 at 11:59 pm. We highly encourage youth to enroll as soon as possible to ensure they don't miss out on any opportunities.
