August 3, 2022                                                       Governor Brown cheers on athletes at the World Athletics Championships Oregon 22 in Eugene.

The World Athletics Championships Oregon22: A Look Back

The final day of the two-week event concluded with a flurry of world records in front of a sold-out crowd. The World Athletics Championships Oregon22 competition featured more than 146,000 ticketed fans at the University of Oregon’s Hayward Field. Travel Oregon, in partnership with Eugene, Cascades and Coast, welcomed visitors from around the world to the stadium's Travel Oregon event booth and at the City of Eugene’s Riverfront Festival. Thanks to the many businesses across the state that helped share Oregon's bounty and special thanks to our seven Regional Destination Management Organizations that supported this effort.
Travel Oregon featured Oregon products including wine and chocolates at the World Athletics Welcome Dinner, an activation at the Oregon22 media center featuring multiple Oregon Food Trails, Oregon craft beverages and treats like Salt & Straw ice cream in the hospitality suite.
Initial reports from U.S. viewership indicate a positive response with more than 18 million people watching across NBC Sports platforms.

    Oregon Wildfire Updates and Resources

We encourage you to share the resources below through your communications channels as we aim to keep the safety and health of our residents, visitors and firefighters top priority.
We are tracking current wildfires on our industry-facing Oregon Wildfire Information page and on our consumer-facing Travel Alerts page
