The Future is Ours to Create: A Message from
Gil Preuss
Soon, we will scroll to the very beginning of the Torah and read about the story of creation. As the story goes, God left creation unfinished so that we might take up the work and complete the act of creation ourselves. I am proud to say that here in Greater Washington, our community has done an incredible job of living up to this task. We should rest and rejoice in all that we have accomplished. But this is also a time to take stock and rededicate ourselves to the work that is not yet finished.

Thank You for Making Grand Slam Sunday a Win for our Community!
This past Sunday, more than 1,500 community members and 56 local organizations and synagogues came together for our 5th annual Grand Slam Sunday at Nationals Park. It was a beautiful day, made even better by our vibrant Jewish community. We are grateful to everyone who came out to share in our community’s end-of-summer celebration!
