The Israeli American Council (IAC) is obtaining and shipping tactical gear to reserve units at the IDF and emergency response teams at Israel’s southern and northern borders. Remembering The Hon. Joseph B. Gildenhorn, z"l

With profound sadness, we mourn the October 21^st passing of the Hon. Joseph B. Gildenhorn, z"l, our friend, community leader, trustee emeritus of Federation's Jewish Community Foundation, and past president of The Jewish Federation of Greater Washington. Ambassador Gildenhorn had a truly outsized impact on our community and Federation. As a renowned businessman and diplomat, he leaves an indelible legacy of leadership, development, philanthropy, and service. We will miss him dearly. May Ambassador Gildenhorn’s family, friends, loved ones, and admirers be comforted among the mourners of Zion and Jerusalem, and may his memory be for a blessing.

Save the Date: Empowerment, Advocacy & Sexuality Education (Ease) Q&A Session

Ease and Temple Rodef Shalom (TRS) are offering a six-week program for young adults with disabilities from January 14^th to February 18^th, 2024. Topics will include understanding relationships, consent, online safety, and self-advocacy skills. Join Ease and TRS for a parent and guardian Q&A session on November 12^th to learn more. This program is offered at no cost thanks to a grant from Federation.
