In France, the third Thursday of November is celebrated as Beaujolais Nouveau Day, when the year’s Beaujolais wines first become available. Bars and restaurants fill up with people excited to taste the new wines and celebrate this iconic part of their culture.
This year, we’re bringing some of that Gallic flavour to London and hosting our own celebration, with guest of honour Antoine Laurain.
Bâtonnage Wine Bar in Belgravia will be hosting us in their beautiful wine bar and treating us to bespoke French-themed pizzas, charcuterie boards and, of course, plenty of delicious Beaujolais wine.
The evening will include a short talk from Antoine about his most recent book, Vintage 1954, in which a time-travelling bottle of Beaujolais plays a key role, as well as a Q&A with the audience. There will be a reading from Vintage 1954 and a signing later on in the evening. You are invited to bring your own copies of Antoine's books, or there will be some available to purchase on the night.
The rest of the evening is simply an opportunity to enjoy some great food and drink in a wonderful French literary atmosphere.
Bâtonnage Wine Bar is a five-minute walk from Victoria Station and attendance is free of charge, with all food and drink included. Please note that space is limited and only registered guests will be admitted on the night.

We hope to see you there!
