The Wisconsin Nonprofit Connect to Learn is excited to partner with the UW-Madison Center for Community and Nonprofit Studies for a one-day session on April 10 at 11AM. The Center is a hub for faculty, students, professionals, and community partners to collaborate on work that affects communities and the nonprofit sector. Learn how your nonprofit organization can benefit from the Center’s applied research, evaluation service, and technical assistance.

A Day of Learning for the Entire Family
On Saturday, February 24, Fond du Lac County 4-H held its annual Family Learning Day event. Over 70 youth from around the area were able to choose from 50 different educational sessions. Parents were encouraged to attend sessions along with their children. These educational sessions were led by 40 different community members and 4-H volunteers. Youth and adults learned new skills such as sewing small pillows, decorating with fondant, learning about chickens and rabbits, identifying different animal tracks, painting, needle felting, bike maintenance and safety, and so much more.

Fond du Lac County Presented at the Very First Wisconsin“Community Health Shark Tank”
Nearly a year ago, the White House hosted the first conference on hunger, nutrition, and health in 50 years. As a result, they came up with a big goal - to end hunger and increase healthy eating and physical activity by 2030, so that fewer Americans experience diet-related chronic diseases like diabetes, obesity, and hypertension. This is known as the “White House Challenge to End Hunger and Build Healthy Communities.”

Mucho gusto - Nice to Meet You! Welcome Kelsey Beine 4-H Bilingual Associate Educator at the University of Wisconsin Madison Division of Extension Fond du Lac County. She is excited to join the Fond du Lac County 4-H team. . Her education background includes degrees in math, Spanish, and leadership, and she has enjoyed teaching all of these subjects to both high school and college students. Kelsey is a proud Fond du Lac County 4-H alumna of 13 years, with lots of experience in club and county leadership, and a few travel experiences along the way!
