Supporting Belonging at St. Michael's: This Dragon Dialogue welcomes a facilitator from the Virginia Center for Inclusive Communities, who will share frameworks and tools to foster belonging in the St. Michael's community.  Attendees will have the opportunity to reflect on their own experiences and explore strategies to support their child(ren)’s own academic and social development.
Participants will also learn about VCIC's partnership with the School and how our School's Episcopal identity, mission, and strategic plan identify the importance of every member of our community experiencing a sense of belonging.

Share Your St. Michael's Stories With Us Online!

A big THANK YOU to those who attended last Saturday’s Share More Stories research session at St. Michael’s led by St M Board member and parent James Warren. The session was powerful and profound as participants shared deeply insightful and richly emotional stories about their St. Michael’s school experiences and the impact the School has had on their students and families.

As many St. Michael’s families and alums have reached out asking if they could contribute St M stories and experiences in a digital way, we are pleased to offer an ONLINE OPPORTUNITY to share your stories of St M.
We would be most grateful for as many of our St M connected families, faculty/staff, and alumni to share their thoughts and experiences with us online.  Your insights will help us better communicate internally and externally about the unique and wonderful benefits of a St. Michael’s education.

Click below for directions on how to submit your story.  (In thanks, ALL those who submit a story will be entered in a raffle to win a $250 VISA gift card.)

Save the Date

Save the date for an important book discussion on Thursday, November 7 from 7-9 p.m. as we explore learnings from the New York Times bestseller The Anxious Generation: How the Great Rewiring of Childhood is Causing an Epidemic of Mental Illness by Jonathan Haidt.
The book is a generation-defining investigation into the collapse of youth mental health in the era of smartphones, social media, and big tech—and a plan for a healthier, freer childhood.
The evening will be led by Dr. Kim Hilton, St M's Consulting Psychologist. Michael Jones, Director of Technology, and Bob Gregg, Head of School. More details to follow.
We invite our St M families to purchase and read the book over the coming month in preparation for this meaningful discussion.
