Dear Alumni & Friends,
I hope this letter finds you and your loved ones well. First, Go Birds! What a fantastic SuperBowl LIX Championship Game!!! I have never been this relaxed during any Eagles game, let alone a Super Bowl game. Just so exciting. I hope you were able to enjoy the game with lots of family and friends.
I am often asked why I choose to lead a Catholic school. To me, it is simple. A Catholic education is more than just academics—it is a foundation built on faith, values, and a sense of purpose that stays with you long after you leave the classroom. Even though I did not have the honor to graduate from Archbishop Carroll, I did go to Catholic schools from first grade through high school. As a Catholic school alum, I was not only challenged to excel in my studies but also encouraged to grow spiritually, to serve others, and to see the world through the lens of Christ’s love.
The integration of faith into every subject, every activity, and every relationship taught me that success isn’t just about personal achievement; it’s about living a life of integrity, compassion, and service. The daily moments of prayer, the celebration of the sacraments, and the guidance of teachers who viewed their work as a vocation rather than just a job made a lasting impact on my heart and mind. I certainly remember the first teacher who made an impact on me, Miss Santo. Teaching was a true calling to her and since the day I sat in her classroom in second grade, I knew I wanted to be the kind of teacher that would make Ms. Santo proud- kind, loving, inspiring, and faithful.
In a world that often pulls us in countless directions, the values instilled through a Catholic education are an anchor. As you read below about a few of our amazing alumni such as Father Miller, Pierce, Sean and Joe, I hope it makes you feel proud to be an alumnus of Archbishop Carroll! A Catholic education is truly a gift that lasts a lifetime.
With gratitude and faith,
Patricia G. Scott, Ed.D. President

The Turf Field Initiative Continues to Gain Momentum!
|
|
|
On January 30th, we were thrilled to host another successful event, where more than 50 passionate alumni, coaches and friends gathered to discuss the vision for Carroll's new multi-purpose turf field. Their enthusiasm and commitment to help us reach our goal was palpable and it’s clear that the energy behind this project is growing stronger every day.
$800,000 has already been secured for the Field, and with additional support of Carroll alumni, we can help our alma mater raise an additional $800,000+ to make this dream a reality. Together, we can create a legacy that reflects the greatness of Carroll’s past while building an even stronger future.
Thank you to everyone who has already supported this important initiative. To learn more about this project and how you can make a lasting impact on Carroll for generations to come click Multi-Purpose Field Donation

A teacher who has made a difference!
Mrs. Judith Owens - Science - by a Class of 2025 Senior
I took three classes with Mrs. Owens during my time at Carroll, and the one piece of advice she consistently gave me was to stop apologizing for every little thing. I used to be afraid to ask anyone for help because I believed I was bothering them, but she taught me otherwise. Through her encouragement and constant reminders that helping others is her job, I’ve realized that it’s perfectly okay to ask for help when I need it. I've learned that seeking assistance isn't annoying or burdensome, for I was only holding myself back by not doing so. Thanks to her, I've gained self-confidence, become more assertive, and now ask far more questions than I did in the past. I now understand that asking for help is a way to improve myself, for if I don't seek guidance when I need it, I risk missing out on valuable learning opportunities.
