Shalom friend,

I hope all is well with you and your loved ones.
This upcoming week is Israel Remembrance Day and Israel Independence Day. This year, more than ever, it is important to get together to support Israel and each other.
Minnesotans Against Terrorism is cosponsoring a special event — From Darkness to Joy — with guests from Israel this Monday, May 13th, at 6:30 p.m., at Temple of Aaron. I will MC this unique event. Please join me. It is free, and no registration is needed.
I also included an important opportunity regarding the Israeli hostages at the bottom of this email. Please read it and act. It should take only a moment.
*  Join me on Monday, May 13th, at 6:30 p.m., when I will MC a unique service: "From Darkness to Joy," as we transition from Yom Ha'Zikaron to Yom Ha'Atzmaut (a transition from the Israel Remembrance Day to the Israel Independence Day).

We'll be joined by musicians from Israel whose melodies will uplift us, honor the past, and embrace the future with hope together.

The event is free. No registration is needed.

*  I am sharing with you a unique, heartwarming opportunity regarding the Israeli hostages in Gaza. A trusted friend visited Israel earlier this year in a solidarity mission to Israel. One of his meetings was with The Hostages and Missing Families Forum, a body established by the families of the abductees who were kidnapped to Gaza on October 7, 2023.
In the meeting, he realized how important it is for the families of the hostages to hear not just that Israelis think of them and support them and pray for the safe return of their loved ones but also that people outside of Israel do care and support them. However, not many people visit Israel these days, and many of the ones who do visit Israel don't have the opportunity to meet with the families of the hostages.
So, my friend initiated a project to allow anyone worldwide to use a unique online platform he developed to write a letter of love and support to the hostages' families, strengthening their spirits during these challenging times. The letters will be delivered to the Hostages and Missing Families Forum and distributed to the hostage's families.
The platform guides you through writing the letter, which takes only a moment.
For your privacy, the platform allows you to write a letter without providing contact information.
Please take a moment to visit www.IsraelShalom.org to write your letter today!
Send a note of caring and support to the families of hostages.
Please join me!
If you have any other questions, contact me at ilan@MATmn.org / 612-217-1816.
I hope you are available to attend!
Sincerely,
Ilan Sharon, Executive Director
