An update from Marlene Bessette and the CFC Family
An update from Marlene Bessette and the CFC Family

A message from Marlene…
Dear friends,
It has been a beautiful dawning of a brand New Year at CFC. We have so much to celebrate. From a first-ever ROC the Day (Giving Tuesday) focused on YouthBuild, to another fulfilling Adopt a Family, serving more families than ever before, together we took the opportunity to see the world through the eyes of a child who has boundless optimism and hope for the future. In this eblast, you will be able to see YouthBuild’s new training facility and hear from some of our staff and current students about their enthusiasm for this program.

Now, as the days begin to lengthen, I hold in prayer those whose nights might be getting darker. Perhaps they are suffering from depression, struggling with the loneliness of addiction, worrying about where they will sleep, or wondering how they will bring hope to their children this year.

Thanks to your generosity, our dedicated staff are able to walk with families to provide support in their quest to secure the brightest possible future. I am constantly inspired by the things that people can achieve when they begin to see the potential of a bright future ahead.

You really do have the power to bring people hope. From the bottom of my heart, may this beginning of the New Year be full of blessings and hope for you and for those you love.

In gratitude for your continued support and prayers,
Marlene
President & CEO

YouthBuild Open House

Our YouthBuild program had much to celebrate at the end of 2018. In November, over 80 ROC the Day donors raised over $8,000 that will directly support our students.

On December 13, staff and cohort greeted potential new students and referring providers to our new location on Lincoln Avenue. You can see pictures of our new facility, and some of our wonderful students, in this Facebook album.

Cohort #3 graduates on January 11th. Congratulations!
Thank you for your support, and for your advocacy.
Adopt a Family
Thanks to you, and hundreds of people like you, over 250 families were sponsored through CFC's Adopt a Family project

Your kindness and generosity make this project successful every year and we are so very grateful. See some of the stories on our Facebook page!

National Migration Week is JANUARY 6-12

This year's theme, "Building Communities of Welcome” reminds us that each of our families have a migration story, some recent and others in the distant past. We remain part of the human family and are called to live in solidarity with one another.
In this time of trauma for migrants throughout the world, please consider raising up our foundational belief that all humans should be treated with kindness and compassion. See and hear more from our See Their Stories project, produced by our friends at Sundance Marketing and Avoneu.
