Dear GW Business Community,
As we wrap up the fall semester and the year 2024, December offers a time for reflection and an opportunity to embrace the values of diversity, equity, inclusion, and community. The International Day of Persons with Disabilities (December 3) highlights the importance of accessibility and removing barriers, while Human Rights Day (December 10) reinforces the principles of dignity, freedom, and justice for all. National Giving Month and International Volunteer Day (December 5) encourage acts of generosity and service, emphasizing the power of collective efforts to address inequities. Celebrations of Bodhi Day, Christmas, Hanukkah, Las Posadas, and Kwanzaa underscore the values of compassion, resilience, togetherness, and unity, reminding us of the importance of fostering inclusive and equitable communities.
Looking ahead to the new year, we are excited to announce the upcoming Diversity and Allyship Week, a time to celebrate the richness, diversity, and unity that make our community so vibrant. From February 3–7, 2025, we will host our 3rd annual Diversity and Allyship Week, a dynamic event dedicated to fostering connection, inclusion, and mutual understanding. This week will feature engaging activities, meaningful discussions, and opportunities to reflect on the values that bring us together. Please mark your calendars.
