Join a Parent University Session

This month, we kicked off a Parent University series focused on the #ReopenStrong topics at the top of your mind, including what learning at home looks like, online tools, managing trauma, and more. These online events will be held weekly and recordings of each session will be posted on our website so you can watch any time.

Enrollment and Immunization Reminders

Enroll in DCPS!

As we plan for the school year ahead, we are asking families to help us ensure that every student is enrolled in their school for SY20-21. This will also help ensure your child receives a schedule that meets their needs before the first day of school. Please visit enrolldcps.dc.gov to complete your enrollment forms and submit them online or contact your school if you need help with this process.

Don’t forget to submit your student health and immunization records too! See the list of immunization clinics across DC. For questions, contact your school registrar or e-mail healthservices.dcps@k12.dc.gov.

DCPS Reopen Strong Tech Survey

Tell us your tech needs.

There is still time to share information with your school via phone or at dcps.tech/survey if you need a device or access to the internet. This survey is designed to be a planning tool to help us determine how many devices will be distributed at each school later this month. While we want to hear from as many families as possible, if a student needs a technology device to learn at home, they will receive one whether they completed the survey or not.

DCFACES TeleTown Hall and Survey

Mayor Bowser has created the District of Columbia Facilities and Commemorative Expressions (DCFACES) Working Group to evaluate named DC Government-owned facilities (including DC Public School buildings) and make recommendations as to what, if any, actions need to be taken if the person the facility is named for is inconsistent with DC values and in some way encouraged the oppression of African Americans and other communities of color or contributed to our long history of systemic racism. Please complete the DCFACES Survey Now to provide them with feedback on this important work.

Participate in a TeleTown Hall with the DCFACES Working Group to hear directly from District residents in all eight wards on Wednesday, August 19, 2020, 5:00pm. Register at bit.ly/DCFACES_TownHall. We want to hear from you!

Encuesta y Foro Abierto Telefónico DCFACES

La Alcaldesa Bowser ha creado el Grupo de Trabajo de Instalaciones y Expresiones Conmemorativas del Distrito de Columbia (DCFACES por sigla en inglés) para evaluar las instalaciones propiedad del gobierno de DC (incluyendo los edificios de las escuelas públicas de DC) y hacer recomendaciones sobre qué acciones, de ser necesarias, deben tomarse si la persona para la que se nombra la instalación es inconsistente con los valores de DC y de alguna manera fomenta la opresión de los afroamericanos y otras comunidades de color o contribuye a nuestra larga historia de racismo sistémico. Por favor, complete la Encuesta DCFACES para proporcionarles información sobre este importante trabajo.
