Welcome to the January edition of the SOLVE-CHD monthly updates 2024. This monthly e-newsletter will keep you up to date with the key progress of the SOLVE-CHD projects and provide updates on our events and initiatives. Simply 
email solve-chd.info@sydney.edu.au if you wish to share/add anything from your area that is directly/indirectly related to the SOLVE-CHD program. We would also strongly encourage you to share your research highlights and successes that is relevant to cardiac rehabilitation and secondary prevention with us so that we can celebrate your achievements with our network.

Youth Advisory Group 2024 - Applications open!
We are seeking to recruit a diverse group of 16 young people aged 13-18 years, living in NSW, for our Youth Advisory Group 2024.
The Youth Advisory Group serves as a platform for young people to collaborate with our researchers in identifying and advocating for issues that hold the utmost significance to them. As a member of this group, you will have the opportunity to contribute your insights and ideas to shape our research, which focuses on creating healthy societies and improving the well-being of young people.

PhD scholarship available
Project: Improving equity, access, and quality of cardiac rehabilitation services

Supervisor: Dr Emma Thomas
Location: Princess Alexandra Hospital, Queensland
Institution: University of Queensland

Telehealth-delivered cardiac rehabilitation has proven efficacy, however, little is known about how to implement it into clinical practice. This project will involve partnering with consumers and clinicians and use clinical registry data to: understand consumer needs, investigate equity and access gaps, and support the delivery of digital health interventions.
Applicants will demonstrate academic achievement in the field/s of health services research and/or public health. A working knowledge of secondary prevention services would be beneficial.

Healthy Longevity Talent Incubator 2024
We are seeking Master’s/PhD students or early-career professionals (with 1-2 years of work experience) who have strong interests in the future of healthcare.
The Healthy Longevity Talent Incubator, hosted by the National University of Singapore, aims to attract young talents into the field of Healthy Longevity Medicine and foster next-generation leaders who will drive the promotion of healthy longevity around the world.
