Review Your Beneficiaries
|
Dear GW Benefits Plan Participant,
We wanted to take a moment to remind you about the importance of reviewing and designating your beneficiaries for your employee benefits. Beneficiaries are the individual(s) or entities you choose to receive the monetary value of your plan as a part of your legacy.
Why is this important? Having current beneficiaries helps protect your family and ensures that your benefits are distributed as you intend.
Don’t wait! Now is a great time to review your beneficiaries, make any necessary updates, as well as notify those whom you designated.

 | When Should You Review Your Beneficiaries |
|
Since family circumstances can often change, selecting and updating beneficiaries is not a one-and-done task. You can change your beneficiary at any time during the year to ensure your assets are allocated according to your wishes. We encourage you to review and update your beneficiaries annually as well as after any major life events (e.g. marriage, divorce, childbirth, etc.). You can view more information on what to consider when choosing a beneficiary online.
