Have you worked part-time or taken a sabbatical?
Your eligibility for retirement or DROP is determined in part by your years of service credit. If you've ever worked part-time for any TRSL-eligible employers, it's important to have your time certified by them.
Some members may find that they are eligible for retirement or DROP participation earlier than expected, or that their benefit may be less than anticipated because of the way part-time service is calculated.
Here's what you can do...
Contact any employer for whom you've worked part-time or taken sabbatical leave and ask them to certify that time with TRSL. That way you'll receive an accurate estimate of your retirement or DROP eligibility.
