Good morning! Commencement ceremonies for bachelor’s and master’s degree candidates begin today at 9 a.m. Clemson celebrates its service member and veteran graduates; Researchers are invited to submit proposals to fund projects for building energy and health research.

What to know today:

Commencement for bachelor’s and master’s degree candidates takes place today across three ceremonies (9 a.m., 1:30 p.m., 6 p.m.). All ceremonies are livestreamed by Clemson TV.

As many faculty, staff and students depart for the holidays, a few simple tips can help you prepare your home and workspace for cold weather.

NEWS AND UPDATES

Roy Jones, a College of Education faculty member and executive director of Call Me MISTER®, will retire from Clemson effective June 2026. Through scholarship and teacher education, Jones has served as an advocate for students, families and communities in the state and across the nation.

Outstanding staff members from the College of Engineering, Computing and Applied Sciences received awards for their performance and accomplishments during the College's annual holiday luncheon.

ROTC COMMISSIONING

Clemson’s Air Force and Army ROTC units held a joint ceremony to commission seven Second Lieutenants yesterday morning in Tillman Auditorium.

Clemson also held its annual Service Member and Veteran Graduate Celebration on Tuesday. Undergraduate and graduate students were recognized for their service to the United States military and for preparing to graduate from Clemson in this week’s Commencement ceremonies.

University researchers are invited to submit proposals to fund research projects that aim to reduce energy usage in buildings and improve the health of building occupants. Proposals are due February 27 with awards announced March 31. Application instructions and details on eligibility are listed in the Request for Proposals.
