| Triton Student System (TSS) Update & Request: How to Support Students and their Interaction with TSS |
|
|
Dear Colleagues,
As we prepare for the transition to the Triton Student System (TSS) in Summer 2026, we are sharing a summary of what students will experience and how you can support them. Please read thoroughly, as there are changes to standard timelines this year.
Please note that the Division of Extended Studies (DES) has a separate timeline from the main campus, that’s also outlined below.
|
|
|
- New terminology/labeling:
- Enrollment → Booking
- PID → Triton Student Number (TSN)
- Students will see and use their TSN in TSS, some students may see their TSN earlier in some finance and annulment systems
- Faculty and staff will be able to search for students by PID or TSN in TSS
-
MyTritonLink → Triton Student System (TSS)
-
Major codes will shift to a new TSS format as will courses. Courses will now include a hyphen between the subject code and course number, and leading zeroes. e.g., ECON 5 → ECON-005; VIS 21A → VIS-021A; BENG 280C → BENG-280C
- Some processes may look different as systems are introduced in phases

→ Enrollment, now called booking, available for DES students to book Fall 2026 classes
→ Will receive email notification with information when course registration/booking is open
|
|
Additional considerations for continuing students:
|

DES students may follow slightly different timelines depending on program requirements

Additional considerations for continuing students:
