A week at camp is full of amazing memories, exciting opportunities, new friendships and encounters with God.

Camp is coming and we are getting very excited. Plans are being made from: programming, to choosing new shirts for the canteen, to getting buildings and property ready for all of the campers that will come through the gates of Hanging Rock. I'm so excited about our team of summer staff this summer, they are very excited to learn all the ways to help your kids experience so much fun through all of our extreme activities.
According to The Power of Camp, adolescents are spending nearly eight hours a day on electronic media, with only about a third of children getting the amount of exercise they need on a daily basis. At camp, young people are free to explore nature and discover the glory of God’s universe, fully immersing themselves in faith while engaging in new adventures with their Christian peers.
Ultimately, the skills learned at camp inspire a growth in self-confidence while providing a fun-filled, Christ-focused summer Camp.
We Hope to See You At Camp,
Gary Baker,
Executive Director

| From the Horse Camp Staff,
|
Hello Hanging Rock Supporters! As warmer weather approaches, camp plans are being made, and volunteers are being sought. This will be my first year running horse camp, but I have been blessed to be involved by volunteering for the last two years. No camp here operates without your help. I am looking for some more volunteers for this horse camp season to make a difference in kids lives, have fun with horses, and most of all, help everyone grow in their faith. Working at camp is a ministry opportunity for everyone and even though we come to minister to these kids, I always feel blessed too. No previous horse experience is necessary, but an added bonus.
Horse Camp is going to have a volunteer and horse training event May 19-20 and I would love to see you there!

April 15th you will have an opportunity to come to camp and have some pancakes, sausage, coffee and juices and let your kids play in the gym. We will have the rock wall open, and have some archery and basketball, nine square and much more. This breakfast is donations only.

New this year is flag donations. For $500 your buisness/church can have your name on a flag and it includes a team of players. We are also doing $100 hole sponsors as well. June 24th is the Golf Scramble and it will be at River Crest Golf Club in Covington, Indiana.
|
| Back again, by popular demand. We will be having Dan's Fish Fry company prepare the fish at the fish fry fundraiser. We will be offering coleslaw, baked beans, bread and desserts to go with the fish. This evening of fish will be donation only.

| 2023 Flooring Projects,
We are excited to have a great start on our 2023 flooring projects. We will be replacing the carpet in the gym with new carpet, putting carpet squares in 2 classrooms and laminate flooring in one classroom for crafts. Laminate flooring in the foyer from the dining hall to the gym, and sanding, waxing and putting epoxy down on the floor in the dining hall.
We have been given a $5,000 match to get us started and have raised with the matching funds $10,300. Praise the Lord!!! We are still raising money for the flooring, if you would like to help us reach our $35,000 goal.
