From Groundbreakings to Gameshows: Spring at c21 |
The theme of Q2 has been “full speed ahead.” This spring, the c21 team has been everywhere — coordinating milestone events, assembling sandwiches for The Sandwich Project, stepping into the spotlight at Game Show Studio and celebrating big wins. The last few months have been packed with meaningful work, memorable moments and plenty of laughs along the way proving that our competitive spirit absolutely extends beyond the office. Scroll to see what we’ve been working on both in and out of the office.

Behind the Scenes of a Historic Groundbreaking |
|
|
|
More than 300 state, regional and federal leaders gathered atop the Avalon deck overlooking SR 400 to celebrate the launch of the GA 400 Express Lanes project. It was a milestone moment for Georgia and one that c21 was proud to help bring to life from start to finish.
From the first invitation to the final guest departure, our team managed every detail behind the scenes. We developed and executed the full event marketing strategy, designed and distributed invitations and handled all RSVP coordination to ensure a seamless guest experience. On-site, we oversaw vendor management, print materials, registration logistics and day-of coordination, while also equipping speakers with talking points and guiding creative direction through detailed shot lists for photography and videography. Simply put, if it touched the event, we touched it. Supporting an occasion of this scale, marking the largest infrastructure investment in Georgia’s history, required precision, partnership and a whole lot of hustle. We’re proud to have partnered with True North 400, GDOT and SR 400 Peach Partners to help deliver an experience that matched the magnitude of the moment.
As Kristin Winzeler, the executive director for True North 400 stated:
“ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC job! What a great day - the weather, food, decor, program... everything was wonderful thanks to all of c21’s hard work! Thank you for all the time, effort, and sweat you put into this event. We've heard so much positive feedback and I know a lot of that is due to your careful planning and execution. Thank you again for everything!”

Brokers, Buildings and Big Opportunities
|
|
|
|
The brokers came, they toured and they saw exactly why Tucker Summit CID is an incredible place to do business. During the CID’s March broker tour, commercial real estate pros got a firsthand look at available properties, major infrastructure investments along Mountain Industrial Boulevard and the advantages making Tucker one of metro Atlanta’s most compelling industrial markets.
c21 helped bring the tour to life through event planning, promotion, messaging, on-site coordination and follow-up content. When you’ve got a strong story and real investment happening on the ground, our job is to make sure the right people are paying attention.

Listen. Act. Advocate. Elevating Victims’ Voices During National Crime Victims’ Rights Week |
c21 client, Marsy’s Law for Georgia, commemorates the annual National Crime Victims’ Rights Week (NCVRW) campaign by enlisting Georgia landmarks to illuminate their facades in purple lighting and by honoring outspoken victim advocates with Champion Awards. This year’s NCVRW fell on the week of April 19-25, with the theme, “Listen. Act. Advocate. Protect victims, serve communities.”
This year, we facilitated three separate award presentations for Georgia Office of Victim Services Director Keir Chapple, Henry County Sheriff Reginald Scandrett and WSB-TV reporter Tom Jones. Each event was well-attended by proud peers, media and even elected-officials. Our presentations even concluded with a personal tour of a news studio where we got to try out our best news voice from behind the anchor desk. (Don’t worry, we’re not quitting our day jobs any time soon.)

Every year, more buildings light up purple in show of support for NCVRW. This year’s purple skyline included:
|
- The Georgia World Congress Center
- Georgia International Plaza
- The Google Building in Atlanta
- The King and Spalding building in Midtown
- The Carvana Car display in Midtown
- The Gateway85 pedestrian bridge in Norcross
- The King and Queen Buildings in Sandy Springs
- The Plaza Fountain at Avalon in Alpharetta
- Whitfield County Courthouse in Dalton
- Mercer University’s pedestrian bridge in Macon
- The Macon, Georgia sign in downtown Macon

Metro South CID’s milestone anniversary luncheon was the place to be. In April, at the iconic Shadowbox Studios, our agency pulled out all the stops to deliver a standout 10th anniversary event that brought together partners, business leaders, elected officials and community champions who keep the district moving forward.
Guests received an exclusive behind-the-scenes peek of the soundstage (major thanks to Jeff Weber, Chief Development Officer for Shadowbox Studios, for the VIP access), while Lt. Governor Burt Jones dropped in to share his congratulations. We were also proud to spotlight the continued support of DeKalb County CEO Lorraine Cochran-Johnson and Commissioner Nicole Massiah, because big progress takes strong partnerships. The day doubled as a well-deserved celebration of board standouts John Kranjc and Rob Roark, whose dedication keeps Metro South thriving. Ten years in and if this event proved anything, it’s that we know how to celebrate and have a fun time while doing it.

Game Faces and Golf Swings |
|
|
|
In Q2, our team traded desks for gameshow buzzers and golf clubs – for a few hours, at least! In March, we stepped into the spotlight for an unforgettable outing at Atlanta’s Game Show Studio. Some team members discovered hidden talents (dance off, anyone?) and others reinforced their belief that they should indeed try out for Wheel of Fortune.
Then in April, we celebrated the work anniversaries of Carter, Shayla and Jamie with a Topgolf outing. We took advice on our swing form from Sharon while enjoying snacks, drinks and the Angry Birds-themed games. It was the perfect way to recognize three awesome c21ers and enjoy time together outside the office. Whether it’s teamwork in the office or friendly competition on the leaderboard, this crew always shows up ready to win!

In her latest blog, she gets real about returning to work after maternity leave, balancing bottles, boardrooms and a brand-new identity as a corporate baddie boss mom. Between daycare drop-offs and deadlines, Shayla shares how this season of her life is about growth, grit and showing the next generation exactly how it’s done.
