| | Dear RV Friend,
For those of us whose RVs have been taking a long winter’s nap, the arrival of spring is cause for celebration! It’s time to prepare for the action-packed travel season ahead. Shake off those winter doldrums and let’s “march” — see what we did there? — right into spring. Of course, you’ll want to undo the things you did to the RV during the winterizing process — flush out the RV antifreeze, etc. See the “We Like” section for a link to detailed information about “dewinterizing.” If you’re looking to kick off the RV travel season in a big way, consider joining us March 13 through 16 as we get Peachy In Perry and celebrate all things RV at the Georgia National Fairgrounds & Agricenter! It’s not too late!
Marching Into Spring,
The FMCA Team

| Spring Into Fun
Ah, spring has finally sprung and so has our spring fever. Now that you’ve dewinterized your RV, it’s time to head out for fun, and, boy, did we find some celebrations for you.
March 17: St. Patrick’s Day
While there are many great places to celebrate, we love Chicago’s style. Bagpipes and a green river, anyone?
March 20: Spring Equinox
Celebrate the official start to spring by hosting your own Equinox party at the campground. Bundle up some flowers or try some other activities.
April 15: Patriot’s Day
Head over to Boston to view a patriotic re-enactment, stand on the sidelines at a parade, or cheer on the Boston Marathon runners.
April 21: Easter
Known for its Easter service, St. Patrick’s Cathedral in New York City is a place to be to celebrate the meaning of the holiday. Afterward, hop over to the Easter Parade and Bonnet Festival in NYC, but don’t forget to decorate your hats.
May 27: Memorial Day
Honor those who served and made the ultimate sacrifice. Attend The National Memorial Day Parade in Washington, D.C.
This is just the start. Find even more options on this list from Mommy Nearest.

Partners In Grime
Tips For Green Cleaning
Looking for ways to avoid carrying so many cleaning supplies in your RV? A few green cleaning options could accomplish this and more. Momma always told us that white vinegar is a great option to disinfect, unclog the coffeepot, wash veggies, and wipe those windows clean. Just add warm water at a 1:1 ratio and you can wipe down any surface or rinse your farmer’s market finds. Adding in baking soda creates a cleaner that can tackle stuck-on grime. If your RV is equipped with tile floors or vinyl floors, mix 1 cup white vinegar into 1 gallon of water to mop up dirt. Or, sprinkle baking soda on your carpet before vacuuming to remove odors, and pop the remaining box in the fridge to whisk away bad smells. Two ingredients, endless options. Find more ideas here about other green cleaning substitutes.
