Yes — according to Marten Risius, assistant professor of management at Clemson, and Christian Janze,  a Ph.D. student from Goethe University in Germany, in an article this month in the Boston Globe. Risius used a fairly simple algorithm to determine real from fake with nearly 90 percent accuracy.
