Psalm 139:13-14
For you created my inmost being;
    you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
    your works are wonderful,
    I know that full well.
New International Version (NIV)
               This week I have had the privilege of sitting close to my mom's side as her respiration slows.  The irony is not lost on me.  She gave me life and now we watch hers ebb away. With my brothers, I am overwhelmed by the reality of God's goodness to us.  He created us and knit us together in our mother's womb.
               How can we not praise our gracious God.  Whoever we are, however we look, whatever we feel, wherever we've been, God has made us wondrously.  All of God's works are wonderful.  Malcolm Muggeridge prayed, "Lord help us never to lose the wonder."  So how is your wonder gauge?  Is it full, or running on empty?  Today I marvel at the God who created us and redeems us.
               For as long as I can remember I have known a few things for sure:  Mom would always be there, loving us no matter what, and that God's love never fails.  Today I trust the God who made my mom and me to love her perfectly all the way from here to heaven.  For all this, His love for us is not diminished.  God can love her and all of us completely, simultaneously.   I am grateful.
Pray with me:
“From ransomed men of tender heart, whose souls You taught to sing; Your children lift their voice to You with thanks for all these things.”  In Jesus’ name.  Amen.
I want to invite you to join me in memorizing 52 passages this year from the 2017 set of Fighter Verses.  You can find the Fighter Verses App at the App Store on your phones or via this link  http://fighterverses.com/the-verses/fighter-verses/As we study the Bible this year, let's look at each text and learn what it says about God.
Joyfully,
