What You Should Know

Key Project Progress

Here's a quick summary of what's happened on the project since last month's newsletter. If you have any questions or would like more information about any of these projects, please reach out to us by replying to this email or contacting us at esr-student@ucsd.edu.

Core Student Information System (SIS) Replacement

Project core team continued to plan for Conference Room Pilot (CRP) sessions where vendors who responded to our Request for Proposal (RFP) will show us how their software handles real-world UC San Diego scenarios; the CRP sessions are now expected to be scheduled in March and April.

Financial Aid System Replacement

The Oracle Student Financial Planning (SFP) implementation team continued design sessions with guide on the side, Sierra-Cedar.
Graduate Financial Support Unit team members and stakeholders continued design sessions to update their Financial Support and Payments Tool (FSPT).

Curriculum Management System Implementation

Procurement team tabulated scores for each vendor who participated in the Curriculum Management System CRP sessions.

Report Remediation

The project team continued to work:

To remediate reports used by the Colleges; 12 reports have now completed the user acceptance testing proces
Work with stakeholders and subject matter experts to create an inventory of all Financial Aid reports

Upcoming Opportunities for Engagement

Roadshow for Financial Aid Project’s implementation of Oracle Student Financial Planning (SFP) in Winter Quarter 2023 (date TBD)
Roadshow for Core SIS Project in Spring Quarter 2023 (date TBD)

Business Officers on March 15, 2023
