Hurray for Magic Dragon Day!

The campus was filled with so much energy and laughter on Saturday! From the Maypole Dance, tug of war, and field games, to Dragon cakes and carnival games, there was fun for everyone at this annual St M event. This year, Team BLUE was victorious and we congratulate them as winners of this good-natured yearly competition.
St. Michael's would like to extend our tremendous appreciation and thanks to the 2023 MDD chairs, Katie Bressler, Mary Nedell, and their fabulous team of volunteers for making Magic Dragon Day such a special event. THANK YOU, THANK YOU!
Be sure to check out our website's Media Gallery in the coming week for Spirit Week and MDD photos! Go Blue! Go White! GO DRAGONS!

Spanish SUCCESS

The National Spanish Exam is the most widely used Spanish assessment in the United States to recognize student achievement in the studies of Spanish. At St. Michael's, this exam is administered in eighth grade and our School has a track record of high success rates thanks to the strengths of our program and our amazing Spanish teachers.

We are delighted to share that of the 46 eighth grade students that took the exam this year, 19 students (4 of whom had PERFECT scores) placed GOLD this year meaning that 19 St M students scored 95% and above in the country!
The following scores are percentile conversions that indicate our students' performance relative to other students in the same level and category in the nation.
  • Gold (100-95%): 19 students (4 of whom received perfect scores and will be recognized at Graduation)
  • Silver (94-85%): 12 students
  • Bronze (84-75%): 7 students
  • Honorable Mention (50 - 74%):  6 students
Congratulations to all!

Time to Find Library Books!

Summer break is right around the corner, which means it's time to start looking for those missing and overdue library books. Mrs. Bryan-Diehl and Mrs. Carpenter are asking all St M students and families to put on their sleuthing hats, pull out their flashlights, lift up the couch cushions, and help find some books!
If a book is truly lost, as some will be, there is no expectation for families to replace or repay the cost of the book. Losing books is a part of library life. But we're hopeful that most of the missing titles can be found and returned so that we can keep our wonderful St. Michael’s libraries fully stocked and ready for reading!
