10th Annual Lights of Esperanza Kicks Off the Holiday Season at A&M-San Antonio

Texas A&M University–San Antonio will celebrate the 10th Annual Lights of Esperanza on December 2, showcasing a beloved campus tradition filled with hope, unity, and Jaguar spirit. The milestone event features more than 40,000 lights, a laser light show, live entertainment, family activities, and a festive Winter Market, drawing an estimated 3,000 guests.Â

Dream Maker Scholar Alberto Hernandez-Ontiveros Strives to Heal, Lead, and Give Back
|
First-generation student Alberto Hernandez-Ontiveros was honored as a Dream Maker Scholar during the 17th Annual Dream Maker Scholarship Celebration, a distinction reserved for students who exemplify leadership, resilience, and the spirit of A&M–San Antonio’s mission. Scheduled to graduate in spring 2026, Hernandez-Ontiveros plans to pursue medical school and a career in reconstructive surgery. Â

| Serving Those Who Served: A&M–San Antonio Recognized for Veteran Support in New Rankings
|
A&M–San Antonio earned spots on the Military Times' annual “Best for Vets: Colleges” rankings, placing No. 15 in Texas and No. 24 in the Southwest. With military-connected students making up 16 percent of its enrollment, the University has also been named a Gold Recipient of the Veteran Education Excellence Recognition Award four times.
